He was born April 26th, 1927, in Upton Kentucky to the late Robert and Thelma Talley.
Mr. Talley was a Master Watchmaker and owner of Talley's Jewelers. He was also a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Talley; son, Larry Talley; daughter-in-law, Linda Talley and siblings, Donnie Talley and Ann Heath.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving daughter, Vickie Conover (Jimmy); grandchildren, Kim Sapp (Jeff), Tommy Taylor (Christy), and Chris Conover; great-grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick), Amber, Brent, Brooke, Brayden, Christopher, and James.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Susan, Lisa and Michael.
Roy was one of a kind who was always happy, loved people and loved to brag on his loved ones. He was like a magnet that everyone was drawn to.
He was the best dad and grandpa who loved to joke around, tease, and make us all laugh. His personality and smile was contagious and he was always ready to help where help was needed.
Roy was self made, self employed and always a great provider. He loved dressing sharp and driving his Cadillac. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren and they adored him. He was always full of energy and adventurous. He made the best of every situation and loved life. Roy exuded the best character traits including, strength, courage, integrity, empathy, loyalty and compassion.
He was dearly loved and cherished and will be forever missed.
A service to celebrate Roys' life will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held after 11:00 am Thursday until the time of the service.
