Rosemary “Rosie” Hodges was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 15, 1926. She was married to James “JB” Hodges for forty-six years. They resided in Louisville until the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1980.
Rosie was called home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Norma (Ken) and Nancy; grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer), Amiee, James and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Rosie, Sophia, and Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She worked at the A&P and L&N Railroad before staying home to raise her family. She loved her family, playing bingo, cards and has many wonderful memories from years in the Kentuckiana Women’s Club crafting, playing games and spending time with friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Hospice. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM. Rosie will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
