Rondall "Ronnie" Vincent Sturgeon

Ronnie Vincent "Papaw" Sturgeon, 75, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 18, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Horsecave, KY and a retiree of American Air Filter with over 42 years of service. Ronnie was very passionate about fishing and bowling, and loved to watch wrestling and baseball. He was a avid U of L Cardinals fan and an awesome card player. He literally was the "rock" of the family, as he was very loving and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Pierce Sturgeon; children, Ginny Goins, Becky (Larry) Evans, David (Angie) and Tommy (Shelley) Sturgeon; grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Jessica, Michelle Goins, Mandy Evans (Carrie Newnum) and Justin Evans, Tyler, Dillon, Renee, Derek, Madelyn Sturgeon, Stephen Warren; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis & Jordan Lewis, Kayden Warren and Noah Cummings.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
