Ronald William Raines

Ronald was the youngest of four siblings. One brother George Jr. and two sisters Blanche and Yvonne.

Ronald was educated in the Detroit public school system. While attending the University of Detroit Mercy where he received his Bachelor's degree Ronald was gainfully employed at the Wellness Plan of Michigan in downtown Detroit. Ronald loved to interact with people and educate all no matter how young or old. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who later retired from the company in 2002. Later he went on to receive three Master's degrees. In November 1995, Ronald met Diana, the love of his life. They were united in Holy matrimony on October 25, 1997 with this bond two families came together creating one large family.

Ronald was a God fearing man. He leaned on God to help him fight the hardest battle of his life which was bone cancer. His wife Diana often told him that she admired his endurance during this long struggle with his illness and how committed his faith in God remained.

Ronald made his transition over to God on July 9, 2019. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his loving wife: Diana; his siblings: George (Karin), Blanche (Oris), and Yvonne; his children: Pamela (Boo) Rodney (Denise), Ebony (Ronda), Yulanda, and Tonya; his grandchildren: Deontae, Devin, Jordan, Jada, Tyler, Je'Kyi, Davon, Ronea, Treaver, Javier, Ninoshka, and Javier Ramirez; his great-grandchild: Jeremiah; his sister-in-laws Cheryl and Deborah Cobb; and brother-in-law: Wyman Cobb. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Although you're not here in body, your spirit will live on forever.
