Roger was born on March 17th, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Bobby Overton and Viola Mae Baker. He was a beloved member of his community and was known for his caring nature and never holding back when it came to speaking his mind. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for working at Kentuckiana Nursing Services, Michael Jordan shoes, and ensuring that everyone he loved was well taken care of.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Carolyn Shirley.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his siblings; Pamela King, Yolanda Shirley, Tonja Shirley, and Ronald Overton, close family friends; Debbie Young, Suzy Fint (Kenny), pseudo-grandkids; Hailee and Kenny Jr, and a community of friends that he met while working at KNS.
A visitation for Roger Overton will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home at 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40213 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024.
