Robert Joel Williams

Robert is survived by his mother and Joseph Ley; his fiancée Tonya Lawson and their daughter Mia Joelle Williams and Mia’s sisters Victoria and Whitney Embry, his brother Merritt Lee Williams and his wife Nancy Schwenker Williams, nephew Colin Merritt Williams, niece Megan Camryn Williams, sisters Teresa Williams Thompson, Connie Williams Phelps, Tracey Williams Mayes and a countless number of those that were touched by his friendship and heart including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and those who carried a special place in his heart for many years.

He was a graduate of Bullitt East High School, attended Georgetown College, and Louisville Technical Institute where he was certified in welding. He worked as a welder for many years, but recently held a position as transporter at Baptist Health Louisville hospital. He enjoyed the technical side of welding but his health care job gave him purpose and joy in helping others.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, from 2 pm - 8 pm and Thursday May 26, 2016 from noon until time of service at 2 pm, in our chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
