Funeral services will be held on June 29, 2023 at St Francis Xavier church with visitation at 9 AM, mass at 11 AM, and a reception from 12 PM to 2 PM. A private burial will take place at Fort Knox at a later date.
Robert was born to William Julius Krupp and Dorothy A. Oeswein on January 30, 1946, the youngest of 7 children. He graduated from Durrett High School and received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville in addition to two Master’s degrees from the University of Dayton. He served in the Navy for 20 years (1968-1988) where he advanced to Lieutenant Commander, and is also a former Chief at the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he worked for 21 years.
While his list of accomplishments is seemingly infinite, he was most proud of being a father / grandfather / great-grandfather and received dozens of calls and messages while in palliative care thanking and praising him for being the incredible father figure that he was to so many people throughout his lifetime. He will be remembered for his amazing, infectious smile as well as his outgoing personality — he never met a stranger and seemed to be able to make friends with anyone.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, William Krupp and Dorothy Oeswein; son, John Krupp; sister, Dorothy Ann Krupp; and brothers, William Krupp and Ronald Krupp. A number of dogs owned and loved in his lifetime will also be awaiting him in Heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pamela Krupp; daughters, Dacia Levier and Shanna Miller (Brian); brother, Michael Krupp; twin sister Norma Head and sister Mary Jane Lear; grandchildren Bethani Krupp, Dez Levier, Daniel Levier, Devan Levier, Kimber Miller, and Kylie Miller; and his great-grandson Ashton Krupp. He is survived (and dearly missed!) by his two dogs as well.
He will be missed forever and loved even longer.
Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
