Robert "Marty" Jones

Robert M. “Marty” Jones, of Louisville passed away June 14, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East. He was a Locomotive Engineer formerly with CSX Transportation with eight years of service and most recently with Mid-America Rail, Storage and Leasing Company.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Opal Wagers.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Schmitt Jones; parents, Robert E. and Lynn Sparks Jones; children, Danielle (Andrew Davis) Jones, Felisha Simpson, Brian Simpson and Matthew Simpson; a sister, Terri Schray; nephew, Sean (Amber) Schray; an uncle, Harry (Sherre) Sparks; and three cousins, Derek, Jenny, Wesley; and a grandson on the way.

A celebration of his life will be conducted Tuesday at 10 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven,4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 at the funeral home.
