Mr. Garrett was a retired employee of Duff Truck Lines. He was also an Army Air Force Veteran where he served as a Military Policeman. Robert was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a former member of
Foster Avenue Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his former wife Marie Durrett Garrett.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lucille Garrett; children, Ken Garrett (Sandy), Janet Walker, Mike Garrett (Leah),
Janet Dukes (Steve), Bobby Singleton (Trudy), Paul Singleton (Donna); Brother, George Garrett; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3-8 pm Wednesday.
The family would like to request that memorial donations be directed to the Alzheimer's Association,
Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter.
