Richard Lee Poff, Jr., 25, of Green Valley Apts, in La Grange, KY, was pronounced dead at the scene of a traffic accident. He was born on October 25, 1984, in Martinsville, VA., the son of Wanda Zollner and Richard Poff. Richard was employed by Rural Metro EMS of Louisville as a dispatcher. He also attended Phoenix University of Louisville majoring in criminal justice.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Poff; five year old daughter, Kaylea Marie Poff; two sons, ten month old Nicholas Lee Poff and seven year old Christopher Lee Poff of Axton, VA.; mother and step-father, Wanda and Rudy Zollner of Crestwood, KY.; father and step-mother, Richard L and Gayle Poff of High Point, NC.; a sister, Danielle Cole, eleven year old niece Beverly and thirteen year old nephew Collin, all of Axton, VA.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral service will be 7:00pm Thursday, June 3, at Arch L Heady & Son, 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday, June 2.
