He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Childers; and sister, Jo Ann Osborne.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Childers; daughters, Belinda Childers (Butch) and Tiffany McBride (Joe); grandchildren, Christina, Tabitha, Jerri, Chuck and Cheyenne; and many great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Richard will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
