Richard Blandford

Richard was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren watching the U of L Cardinals, Cleveland Browns or the Dodgers. He retired from Paul’s Fruit Market after 20 plus years and was best known as the “Juice Man” but wore many hats there. Richard also coached basketball for Holy Trinity and was an alumni of Trinity High School.

Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Richard Blandford and his siblings; Beverly Cissell, Buddy Blandford, Tommy Blandford and Tony Blandford.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Zirnheld Blandford of 61 years four children; Dana Hilbert (Dave), Rich Blandford (Debbie), Nancy Blandford (taking applications) and Dean Blandford (Sarah); 10 grandchildren; Mitch Hilbert (Becca), Mallory Robinson (Greg), Kyle Blandford (Alexa), Connor Blandford (Leah), Madilyn Hord, Chloe Hord, Landen Hord, Eli Blandford, Ian Blandford, and Nate Blandford and 4 great-grandchildren; Carter Hilbert, Palmer Hilbert, Joel Robinson and Cooper Robinson.

Visitation for Richard will be held Sunday, September 24th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218.

Funeral service will occur Monday, September 25th at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 PM in Resthaven Memorial Park.
