Mr. Jones was a self employed carpet installer and an Air Force Veteran. He was also an avid University of Kentucky sports fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Jones and his son Scott Jones.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Wave Jones; children, Steven Jones (Brenda), Shari Jones, Johnny Shofner (Robin) and Nancy Sand (Bill); sister, JoAnn Hurst (Scott); 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, 11:30 am, at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The family would like to request that memorial donations in Ray's name be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
