Raymond "Ted" Edwards

Ted was a deacon and longtime member of East Audubon Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Air Reduction and Joseph Seagram Company. He was an active member of the Naval Reserves. His hobbies included square dancing, traveling, farming and watching the UK Wildcats.

Ted had many accomplishments during his lifetime but his greatest legacy was the love of his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth Edwards; seven children Judy Embry (Randy), Jeanne Morris (Sandy), Ray Edwards, Jr. (Joy), Lon Edwards (Kathy), Don Edwards (Sheri), Michael Edwards (Sonja) and Mark Edwards (Beverly); 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild; sister, Imogene Perry; sister-in-law, Joyce Edwards; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Ted’s Life will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd, followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
