Hello, my name is Jessica Shapiro and I would like to share my deepest condolences, though I did not personally know Ethel or Presley. I am currently in possession of a diary dating back from 1939 in which the name Presley Bradshaw is mentioned as a friend of the owner of the diary. I would like to contact the surviving family of Presley and Ethel Bradshaw to relay the information in the diary and my connection to their late father, and to inquire about the identity of the owner of the diary, whose name was Williams (but whose first name I do not know) and who lived in Louisville in 1939. I am trying to find out any information I can about the owner of the diary. I am so sorry to here about the passing of the Bradshaws I met them at the nursing home they was such a cute couple. Just think they are in heaven together and in no pain.

I am very sorry for your loss.  What a heart-warming love and life story of two beautiful kind loving people.  Some people are just meant to be together.. and obviously they kept true to their wedding vows right to the end of their lives:  'in sickness and in health till death do us part'.  Death only separated them by a few hours last Monday - and now they are yet again together - happy and healthy for eternity.  GOD BLESS AND MAY THEY BOTH CHERISH ETERNITY TOGETHER IN GOD'S CARE. Although I do not know your family, this story has truly touched my life.  My parents just celebrated 49 yrs together and still going strong.  I hope they celebrate as many years as your parents.  Staying devoted to each other for long is so wonderful to hear.  Their love will last forever...even after they are gone.  Very sorry for your loss.

I was very blessed to have known your parents for a few years while they lived at Meadowview.  They are truly an inspiration to so many of us and their undying love for each other was amazing.  Although you are experiencing this loss and I know how hard this has to be for you, they were truly blessed to have you to love them like you did.  God Bless you and your family.  Mr. and Mrs. Presley Bradshaw will be missed and THANK YOU so much for allowing us at Meadowview to be a part of their phenomenal story.  We loved them both.

It was a blessing to be able to visit your folks at Meadowview.  Your Dad loved Lily, the Samoyed, and I was blessed by getting to know your family.  I am praying for you and  your family.

I meet Mr. Holman two summers ago when he drove himself to Fordsville to see the property he owned-it is across the road from my house.  I asked him to come in for a cool drink.  We talked for a long time about his life and he talked about Ethel who was in the nursing home - I saw their story on TV - they were not separated on this earth for very long -

I teared up reading the story about Ethel and Presley Bradshaw. I did not know them, but their love for each other is so evident! I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends, I don't know your family, but saw this beautiful love story on WAVE3 TV today.  My God bestow his many blessing upon you and your family during your hour of grief.

What a true testament to what a marriage covenant was for them.  God had Presly open those pearly gates for his blushing bride, Ethel.  Rest in eternal peace...

We "met" your Mom & Dad at Golden Corral when she was still able to go out. We watched the tenderness he showed in making sure she ate her food and then he would get her an ice cream. We introduced ourselves and discovered we live within about 2 miles of each other. We became 'friends' and talked often until he finally went to live with "Mama". We visited there also and watched the same love & care. We appreciated the 'tales' he told of their life together and of Lyndon,etc. Such a fine gentleman and lady. We will miss them.

Mrs. Bryant, I'm sorry for your loss.  He was always so sweet coming into the bank to pick up lollipops for her.  You will be in our prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of Brad and Ethel. I met them when I moved into the neighborhood in 1987. They were the perfect example of a Christian couple dedicated in their faith to each other, family, neighbors and friends. Always caring and sharing. My life was blessed with their friendship and I will treasure the memories they gave me. They leave a wonderful legacy and now continue together in heaven. May God bless you in your time of sorrow and ease the loss with the love you shared with Brad and Ethel.

I do not know the Bradshaws, but sure wish I'd had the honor to meet these two who had been married for 73 years!! I'm sure they were proud of this, and certainly should be! Although very sad for their family to lose them, how proud they should be. What a sweet story. I can totally understand how one couldn't be without the other. Peace to the Bradshaw's and their precious family.

Dear Lucia,

Your Father's fondest wish was to live one more day than Ethel thus knowing she was at peace..a prayer answered.

I remember  the blackberry patch Presley had and how my Mother and I enjoyed them so much.

About the many stories and how the conversation never lagged. Stories about the Church and life in general.  The Depression and both the bad and good times.  My Mother always thought so much of your parents and could relate to their lives in a way most people cannot today.

Also, how your Father and Mother met and anecdotes about living together and growing old together.

More recently, I remember Presley or just " Mr. Bradshaw" as I remember him pushing Ethel down the aisle of Meadowview after dinner by placing  his foot against the back of her chair and giving it a good shove; one yard at-a-time.

I shall miss them in the last house on the left on Benjamin.  I don't think that I can recall any two people being so devoted to each other.

Hoping Melissa and Kathryn and Megan are well.  It was a joy to see them on the 100th.
