Philip Brown

Philip spent most of his time serving with his church family at Hillside where he operated the sound system. He enjoyed having fun with his sisters, brother in law, nieces and nephews. Philip was a caring companion to his father who he considered to be his best friend.

Born on August 6, 1970 to Ronald and Rita Brown. Philip was a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He achieved the honor of Eagle Scout. He was a true patriot. Philip proudly served in the US Navy. He was a former EMT and was currently working as a Respiratory Therapist for Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville. He graduated from Ivy Tech College. Philip enjoyed music, artistic media and flying his drone. He was a collector of various memorabilia. Philip loved UK basketball and the Miami Dolphins.

Philip is preceded in death by his mother, Rita E. Brown. He is survived by his father, Ronald L. Brown; sisters, Linda Lee (Troy), Karen Johnson and Jenny Coleman (Chris); nephews, Taylor Johnson, Garrett Lee and Lance Coleman; nieces, Hayley Johnson, Olivia Lee and Leah Coleman; and great niece, Adelyn. Philip was a loving son, brother and uncle.

Memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Hillside Church 4812 Grant Line Rd. New Albany, Indiana 47150.
