Paul Brent Wesley, 58, passed into eternity on December 5, 2022. Born in Owensboro, KY on October 14, 1964 to the late Paul and Rita Wesley, he was the first of three children. He graduated from Trinity High School, where he made lifelong friends, in 1982. Following high school, he graduated with an Associate Degree in Commercial Art from Jefferson Community College. Brent‘s artistic eye and unceasing entrepreneurial spirit led him to work as the owner of multiple businesses, including Wesley Landscape, for over 30 years. He loved the beach, spending periods of his life residing in California and Florida. From the time he could pedal, time spent on two wheels was his sanctuary, and his lifelong passion for motorcycles was one of his greatest loves. In addition, Brent leaves a legacy of service to those on difficult journeys, through his story and sponsorship. A flair for the dramatic and historic, Brent also spent several years playing the role of Abraham Lincoln at venues across Kentucky. A beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, Brent was known as the center of a party, and passionate toward things he held dear. He was an unparalleled storyteller, a good sport, and a continual learner. Brent adored being a father, and was loved deeply by his two sons. Brent was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rita Wesley; He is survived by his children, Nolan (Emily) and Brent (Maddy); his siblings, Carrie Stein, Tiffany Terry (Rodney), and Carl Mittelsten; his wonderful friends; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218).
Visitation will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
