Patsy J. Martin

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Patsy J. Martin, 94 of Louisville on June 21, 2021. She returned to her Heavenly Father with her family by her side during her last days.

She was born to late Dora and Calvin Setser, in a brick house on Masters St. in Corbin, KY. The house has been torn down and a bank is there now. Also preceding her in passing are her 3 brothers, Foster, Willard (Snook) & George (Babe) Setser and 2 sisters, Cecil Harris and Naomi Snyder.

Patsy loved making things with her hands. She knitted and crocheted. She made beautiful quilts and clothes. She lovingly prepared and served delicious meals for her family and friends who gathered around her dinner table. She loved fishing, camping, boating, and traveling throughout many years with her husband Clint. What brought her the greatest joy was when all her family could be together for cherished visits. Patsy will be remembered for her hugs, pats on the back and her big smile.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of nearly 75 years, Clint Martin, daughter, Donna Skees (Mel), son Jay Martin (Kathy), grandchildren: Lori Rupert (Paul), Suzanne Skees, Julia Roby (Jarrad), and Wesley Martin, great-grandchildren, Emily Rupert, Blake Rupert, Clinton Kellon, Reese Roby and cherished niece, Peggy Harris Hodges and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24 from 4-7pm and Friday, June 25, 2021 from 11-2pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. A Celebration of Patsy’s Life will start on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00pm. Patsy will be laid to rest following the service in Resthaven Memorial Park.
