Patricia Jean Hunt

Patricia (Pat) Jean Hunt, 85 of Louisville KY passed away on October 24, 2022, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 17, 1937, to Joseph Albert and Mary Catherine (Rice) Raible. She attended Presentation High School. Pat married the love of her life Joseph (Ed) E. Hunt, Sr. on February 6, 1960, and he survives her. They were married for 62 years and together for 70 years.

She is survived by her children Brenda Hunt, David Hunt, Melinda Hunt (Donna Diorka) and daughter-in-law Tina Hunt, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters Joyce R. Kaelin (Richard) and Mary Jo Simpson, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many cherished friends from Louisville, Florida, and Canada after becoming snowbirds many years ago.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two sons, Joseph (Joe) E. Hunt, Jr. (Tina) and John Joseph Hunt.

She loved to read, work puzzles, crochet, knit, sew, and even made clothes for the kids when they were young. She was a talented painter, crafter, and mastered the art of Bunka, eventually teaching classes for her neighbors in Florida and left us countless treasures. She was beloved by many while working as the secretary for Assumption High School. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church at the time of her death. The family would like to recognize those that provided amazing care for her in the last three months.

A visitation for Patricia will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with a funeral service in Patricia's honor beginning at 2:00 PM. Patricia will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
