Patricia (Trish) York Fricke, 67 of Louisville KY, formerly of Logan, WV, passed away on March 1, 2022. Patricia graduated from Logan High School and attended Marshall University before pursuing a Real Estate career in Charleston, WV. She had the ability to communicate with ease and was an authority in whatever she chose at the moment. Whether it be in business, the arts, science, or politics, Trish never turned down a healthy debate. Her fearless faith in God’s plan was unmatched. Always humble and proud of her Appalachian roots, Trish was an undeniable Mountaineer fan.
She was a talented musician, using the piano to inspire hope and faith in anyone lucky enough to hear her play. An avid reader and coffee lover, her hands were rarely empty. Knitting and crocheting until her little fingers were sore, she found joy in creating. When time permitted it was exploring and discovering the world that got her excited. Those closest to her will remember her great sense of humor, curiosity, and authenticity. She was a dedicated wife, sister, aunt, stepmother, and dog-mom.
Trish, daughter of the late Jack and Patricia York, is survived by her beloved husband Juergen, son Julian and his significant other Diana, schnauzers Cosmo and Jackson, her sister Lisa York-Yerrid, mother-in-law Berta, brother-in-laws Ruediger, Frank, Volker, and Bernd, and family; as well as their grandson Jonah and granddaughter Jolina; god-daughters and nieces Anna and Heather; and their great-niece Layla and great-nephew Logan.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 12th 2022 from 11am to 1pm at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, KY 40222 with memorial service to follow at 1pm.
