Born in Burkesville, KY to the late Oliver Felix and Robbie Watkins, Wayne was a retired truck driver, a member of Local 89, and a member of the Robinson-Plumb Masonic Lodge.
Wayne is survived by his son Chris Watkins (Sarah Heim-Watkins); daughter Catherine “Eileen” Lindsay (Scott); a sister, Hilda Rigsby; and grandchildren Tanner, Macie, Darrian, Drayden, and Gavin. Besides his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Evelyn J. Watkins.
Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by cremation.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
