I always loved being around Norm and Marietta. They were so kind and able to be friends to all ages. Norm was certainly proud of his grandchildren but he was also interested in everyone else and their children. My fondest memories of Norm are  working with him at Fairdale Christian Church and especially cleaning snow from the parking lot. If anyone ever thought they could out work Norm, they quickly realized that they would have to wait until after he was in his 90’s.  Rest easy good and faithful servant! 

Norm defined the word respect! Simply a wonderful person! A wonderful servant! Marietta and Norm were a breath of fresh air. They truly cared for us all! Norm showed us how to walk with pride and to do it humbly. He was always at church working in the garage well into his eighties. Thank you for the walk you did on this earth Norm! I know you and Marietta are dancing on the streets of gold!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was in service to the church when Norm decided we very much needed flag poles, to display the Christian flag, the state flag and Old Glory. He made this his desire and his mission to get this done. I can never pass the church on the freeway, or pull in the church now, without a visual reminder of his passion. 
Such an honor to know him and serve The Lord beside him. 

Norman was a very sweet man. He loved everyone. And he loved his church. He will be greatly missed. 

Norm and Marietta welcomed Mark and I and our 3 kids into their home for meals, card games and great stories. They both were very special to us and our kids loved spending time with them. They both hold a very special place in our hearts.  

Norman may be the finest man I have ever known.  He was genuinely proud of his country and of the Marine Corps.  My grandson was the Commander of the Fern Creek Marine ROTC national champion drill team. Norman would ask about him every Sunday and would ask if I had any photos to show of the team. He was as proud of my grandson as I was.  What he was most proud of was his God and his church. The world is a far better place because Norman was in it.  

Norman used to hold our son Caleb when he was a baby while we would go to work on the church offering deposit. He was the sweetest man!

One of my favorite memories is how he would stand so tall and proud when the military were recognized at church.   He looked 10 feet tall. He was one of the sweetest men I ever new.

Norm, was a true Gentleman,  natural leader and inspiration friend who I will forever be grateful for knowing and whom I will miss dearly.  He quickly earned my respect and got me involved in many Ministries at Fairdale Christian Church.  He and his family were so kind to me.  He was the model of what a real Marine should strive to be, as well as a role model of a good human being and faithful Christian.  He gave my wife and I a plaque which is proudly displayed at the entrance to our home. Semper Fidelis COl Preston,  love Mike and Genny

The Colonel  was a patriot and he raised one of the best men I ever knew  in his son Michael   and they both were saved by the blood of Christ and because of their belief in Him, they are together again . Praise God!!!
