Nicholas "Nick" Owen Woods, aged 77, of Louisville, KY was born on May 9, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Richard Owen and Alice May (Swope) Woods. Nick passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 Baptist Health Park Tower. Nick was a retired dispatcher for Louisville Metro Police, a Navy veteran, and admired DJ of all things music.
Left to cherish and carry on his memory is his life partner, Dottie Morgan; daughters, Jenny Oray (Leonard) and Kristen Woods (Shannon Clubb); step-children, Jim Porter, Kim Warren, and Debbie Hagan (John); sisters, Cheryl Smallwood (Wayne) and Beckie Robinson (Rex); grandchildren, Jordi, Lil' Lenny, Brennan, Tyler, Ayden, Abby, Lexi, Ashley, Sam, Mariah, Miranda, Diana, and Jack; nieces and nephews, Melissa Sponel (Jeff), Erika McGimsey (Brian), Joni Brindley (Jake), Matt Robinson (Alicia), and Josh Robinson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonathan, Jared, Jaden, Abby (Robbie), and Amy, and many more family and friends.
Funeral services with Military Honors for Nick will be held at 11 am this Friday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son located at 3601 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, KY. Private burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be this Thursday from 4-8 pm.
