Nelda J. Ferren, 85, of Louisville passed from this life on Monday May 9, 2016. A native of Campbellsville, KY, she was the former Nelda Lawhorn, a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was very active in the PTA at Butler High School and Schaffner Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Barney” Ferren. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Daune Hoskinson (John), Diane Newton; a son David Ferren; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Nelda’s life will be held at 10 am Saturday at the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
