After her family had grown she decided to work outside the home at the Cambridge Inn and Culver Military Academy. She was a member of St. Athanasius. She was a quintessential military wife, caring for her family and welcoming all with open arms. She will be so greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Richard C. Skrine, Jr. (Pam), Robin Basham (Michael), Mary Bishop (Jeffrey), Steven Skrine, David Skrine (Vincent); grandchildren, Wesley (Patty), Emily (Brian), Michael, Jr. (Kassi), Christopher (Laura), Amanda (Aaron), Amy (Brian), Eric (Lesle), Jennifer (Robert), John Paul (Meghan), Diana (Ryan), Jonah (Debra Jean), and Joni; 34 great-grandchildren; daughters – in – law, Jean Skrine and Jamie Skrine; brother, Thomas Braun (Nita); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nancy was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 66 years, Richard C. Skrine, Sr.; sons, Edward Skrine and Thomas Skrine; 7 siblings; 5 nephews; and 1 niece.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Athanasius on Monday, May 2nd, at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Garden.
