Mollie "Teresa" Ward

after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Teresa was born on October 10, 1950 in Henderson, KY. After the untimely death of her father, her family moved to Louisville where she was raised. She attended Fairdale High School. In 1966, she married Jackie T. Ward. They celebrated 38 years together. Teresa worked in retail for many years including many positions within K-Mart until her retirement. In later years, she enjoyed working part time at Lowe’s and Gordon Foods.

Teresa was an excellent cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She had a great eye for decorating and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren.

Among those that proceed her in death include her husband Jackie T. Ward and her parents, Louis D. Miller and Ruby Miller-Burton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Charles “Chuck” Ward and his wife, Alicia, and her step-grandchildren, Meredith O’Cull & Carter O’Cull as well as her brother, Dale Miller (Shirley) and a sister in law, Sharon McGeorge, plus many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers/gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Kosair Charities.

Funeral services will be conducted at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at 2 PM in the chapel with interment in Resthaven Cemetery. Family and friends may come before the service between 11AM-2PM to pay their respects.
