Miller Lee Jewell Jr.

Lee retired as Chief of the Plant Design Department at C&I Engineering, where he had many close and caring friends, who stuck with him through it all. He graduated from Fern Creek High School in 1975 and went on to attend UofL for a time before focusing on his career. He also attended Parkland Baptist Church. Lee spent time doing many things throughout his life, but his world revolved around spending time with his granddaughter, Paige, and serving the Lord. He will be so greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, P. Diane Walls Jewell; son, Jason Jewell (Rhonda); granddaughter, Paige Jewell; mother, Barbara Corbin Jewell; sister, Sylvia Jewell Gibson (David); and many other extended family members.

Lee was preceded in passing by his father, Miller L. Jewell, Sr.

A service to celebrate Lee’s life will be held on Friday, March 10th, at 1 PM, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. Guests are invited to visit on Thursday, March 9th, from 3 PM to 8 PM, and again on Friday before the service. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.
