Mildred Blevins, 88, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a longtime volunteer for Alley Cats, enjoyed bingo and loved time with her family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband James H. Blevins; daughters Carol Ann, Lynn Simcoe, and Theresa Marksberry; brothers Ivan Dockery, Hershel Dockery, and Kendall Dockery; sister, Patricia Dixon; and one grandson Ray. She is survived by her children James Blevins (Bonnie), Elaine Lyon (Mike), Fay Collins (Mark), and Harvey Blevins (Shelly); sisters Edna Cotton and Doris Corum (Walter); 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Bobby Blevins; and her beloved cats.
Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy, followed by burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday.
