Mildred Catherine Barton, 89, entered into rest on Wednesday February 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Willie Carpenter, her 2nd Husband, Arlis “Eddie” Barton; She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Mildred is survived by her children, Patty Goldsmith (Richard) and Leonard Carpenter (Susie); Brother, Leroy Jarboe (Lynn); Sister, Loretta Davis (Eddie); Mildred also had a bonus family "step children"that she loved dearly; Becki Newton (Jacki), Bob Barton (Kitty) and Arlis Glenn Barton (Marsha), Her 4 grandchildren, Todd Goldsmith, Timmy Goldsmith (Mel), Derek Carpenter (Stephanie), Courtney Carpenter; 8 Great Grandchildren, Hayden, Jackson, Cayden, TJ, Mason, Camden, Madelyn, Caiah, Lilly Cate; And a Host of Nieces and Nephews and other extended family members. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 12noon at the Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel, with Burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8pm at the funeral home.
