Michael A. Thompson

Born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 18, 1960, he was the son of Paul and Catherine Thompson and the baby brother of Rita Savage, Joseph, Charles and David Thompson. Michael spent most of his working life as an appliance repair technician which he took pride in. Mike always had a heart of gold and would do just about anything to help family and friends. He could bring a smile to most peoples face with his sense of humor and kindness. He enjoyed fishing, watching Kentucky sports, eating good food paired with a Pepsi and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paul & Mary Catherine Thompson and nephews, Chuck and Craig Jecker.

Michael is survived by his wife, Debbie, after 43 loving years; his two daughters, Shelby (Brooke) and Crystal Thompson (Nicholas); only granddaughter Mia Lipscomb; brothers, Joseph (Louise), David (Cleda) and Charles (Sandy) Thompson; sister, Rita Savage (Kevin) and by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

Visitation for Michael will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Funeral services will occur on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Resthaven at the above address. He will be entombed at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service.
