He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, retired from GE and was an avid fisherman.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Sr. and Mary Ray, two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Janice Ray, children, Michael Ray Jr., (Sandra), Dawn Ray, Anita Houston (Billy), grandchildren, Sarah, Michael III (Amanda), Michael, Jordan, Bella, Skyelar and Hadley. Michael is also survived by one great grandchild and one on the way, as well as three sisters, two brothers and many other extended family and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, February 28, and 2-8pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
