Michael Kelly, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky entered into rest on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Michael was born on Christmas Day in 1937. He was a Flaget High School Alumni, played basketball at the University of Louisville in the late 1950's and a Kentucky Colonel. He loved to dance and was a member of the BOP club at the old Jim Porter's. He was a local fixture at Check's Bar and Grill.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Rose Kelly; brother James "Bud" Daunhauer; sisters, Genevieve "Jennie" Schweinhart and Dolores "Doe" Dawson; and a wife Patty.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael Kelly Jr. (Sheila), Julie Karcher (Donald), Jennifer Kelly, Ruth Foley (Jay), Rebecca McGaughey (Shawn) and Christopher Kelly; his brother Dave Kelly; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation for Michael will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM with a memorial service at 5:00 PM at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3601 Taylor Blvd.
