Michael Ann Hawkins

She was born on October 23, 1935 in Louisville to the late John Michael and Douglass Pipes Ehret. Michael graduated from Shawnee High School in 1953 and then went on to graduate from Western Kentucky State College in 1957. While she was at Western, she was crowned the December 1956 Queen of the Military Ball. After college she went on to work for the Jefferson Co. PVA office, and working at First National Bank, where she eventually retired from.

Here to carry on her beautiful memory are her husband of 60 years, Glen Lewis Hawkins; children, Jon Douglas Hawkins (Jan) and Heidi Ann Whitlow (Ray); along with 3 grandsons, Jon Douglas, Michael Carter Hawkins and Evan Thomas Whitlow.

Visitation will take place from 2-8pm on Tuesday, February 13th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 12pm Wednesday, February 14th at the funeral home, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
