Michael Allen Byrum

Mike cherished his family and loved spending time with them at sporting events, music performances, and vacations. He enjoyed watching the Cardinals play and horse racing at Churchill Downs and Keenland. He was meticulous about his lawn and took great pride in how it looked. Mike served our community for 41 years at LG&E. He loved his job, and after three months of retirement, he went back to work as a contractor for LG&E. He gave his life to Christ in 1990 and was a devoted member of Southeast Christian Church.

Here to cherish his memory is his father, Allen E. (Gene) Byrum, wife of 43 years, Sheri Byrum, sons; Brad Byrum (Christy) and Matthew Byrum (Ashley), five of his favorite people who called him Pop; Caroline, Emma Joan, Luke, Brynn, Mackenzie June, brother David Byrum (Barbara), along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will occur on Monday, March 6th from 11-2PM with a Celebration of Mike’s life to follow at 2PM. All services will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218. Reverend Gene Parr will be officiating.
