Melvin B. Dale

Melvin B. Dale, 74, of Louisville, passed away at Baptist Hospital East on the evening of January 22, 2012 with his family by his side. He was a retired heating and air conditioning designer at the E.R. Ronald and Associates for 41 years; a 1954 graduate of duPont Manual High School, and attended the University of Kentucky. He also served in the Army Reserves. Melvin loved Churchill Downs and was a U of K fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janet Rognli Dale; daughter, Diana (Bill) Britton; grandson, Nicholas; sister, Anna Grace (Frank) Watts; mother-in-law, Lucile Rognli; sister-in-law, Dolores Dale and several nieces and nephews.

Melvin's Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 12 noon till service time at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
