Melissa Yvonne Dawes

Dawes, Melissa Yvonne (Self), 52, of Louisville passed from this life on Sunday October 23, 2011 at the Hospice Unit of Norton Pavilion. She was a former employee of the Better Care Lawn Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Dawes; and a son, John David. She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Smith; her mother, Jessie Self; sisters, Charolette Davenport, Debbie Stanton, and Teresa Ryan McCubbins; grandchildren, Ashley Yvonne Hughes and Jacob Wayne Smith; and her extended family and friends at the Ponderosa Camp at Nolin Lake. A service to celebrate Melissa’s life will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 So. 3rd St. with burial to follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday. Online condolences @ www.odwhiteandsons.com.
