Matthew is survived by his loving parents, Samuel and Kimberly Scott; sister Emma Scott; his girlfriend Natalye Taylor; aunt and uncles Ed Purcell (Kiki), and Billy Scott; cousins Addie Purcell, Nick Scott, Dylan Scott, and Joe Rayburn (Ashley); and his Ballard Soccer family.
Matthew was an avid soccer player, playing the game since he was a young boy. He graduated from Ballard, class of 2023. Matthew adored going to school and spending time with his family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Norton Children's Hospital and Norton Children's Cancer Institute. They would also like to thank the Gilda's Club for their continued support. Matthew also donated tissue samples to be used for Cancer Research.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Arch L. Heady at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, Louisville KY 40222, from 3:00PM – 7:00PM.
