Mary Witten

Mary loved her job as a teacher’s assistant and retired from the Jefferson County School Board after many years of service. She also enjoyed cooking for, and spending time with her family. Mary loved life and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty eight years: Moman Witten, children: Vicki Downey (Randy) and Mary-Anne Mengelberg (Paul), grandchildren: Christopher and Ashley Downey, Tyler and Matthew Mengelberg, sisters: Doris Cox and Carolyn Robinson.

A funeral to celebrate Mary’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd with interment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8pm Friday, April 24, 2015 and after 9am the day of the funeral.
