She was born in Henderson, Kentucky on January 2, 1928 to the late, H. H. and Dewie Aldridge Brewer. She was raised in the Forkland Community of Boyle Co., KY, and graduated from Forkland High School in 1947.
She graduated in 1952 from the Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing, as a registered Nurse. She worked for the next 37 years for the old Kentucky Baptist Hospital She was a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church, and attended Vine Street Baptist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers; John Brewer, and George D. May, and her sister; Ruby Clarkston.
She is survived by her siblings; Pauline Lowe of Perryville, KY, D.C. May (Barbara) of Lebanon, KY, Nancy Harmon (Jim) of Lebanon, KY, Ellen Brand (Gerry) of Edinburg, IN, and Janie Drye (Don) of Lebanon, KY. And a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Bosley Funeral Home, 246 S. Proctor Knott Avenue, Lebanon, KY with burial at the Elders Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wed. at Arch L. Heady & Son-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206, and after 10am Thursday at Bosley's.
