Mary Agnes Wathen

WATHEN, MARY AGNES (BURTON), 80, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Norton Hosparus Pavilion. She retired from White Castle and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Wathen, Sr.; her parents, Jesse and Margaret Burton; a grandson, Glen Edward Wathen; and a great-grandson, Richard Andrew Vansteenburgh. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Ratliff; four sons, George H. Wathen, Jr., Charles Edward Wathen, William D. Wathen and James D. Wathen (Angela); three sisters, Helen, Delores and Ruth; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mary's life will be noon on Friday at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home with entombment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hosparus or Guardia Care.
