Mary Anne Nelson, 65, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2019. She was born to the late Mervin and Dollye Hendricks in Louisville, Kentucky, 1954.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, David Nelson, daughters Rebecca Allen (Jeff) and Elizabeth Caskey (Eddie), grandson Joshua Caskey, sister Laura Groves (Jon), and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nelson had a passion for education. She taught at Highview Baptist School and Sylvan Learning Center. She was also a devoted church member who walked in Christ. Mary Anne was fun loving and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved getting her family together during the Christmas season.
The family will accept guests at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 40218 on Saturday August 17 from 1-5pm with the funeral service to follow.
