Mary Jane Cook Melead

Mary was preceded in death by her loving first husband, Raymond Eugene Cook; loving husband, Joseph A. Melead; parents, John Dudgeon and Dorothy Heimann; children, John Cook and Vickie Cook; and stepfather, Jack Heimann.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tonya Fitzgerald (James), Jerry Cook (Judy), David Cook (Linda), Jacqueline Welch (Jody), Steven Cook, Judy Bryant (Harry), Robert Cook (Lisa), and Brian Cook, Michael Melead (Gail), Roy Melead, and Julie Schroeder.; 35 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, William Dudgeon, James Dudgeon (Kim), Susie Heimann (Rudy), and Louis Scott Heimann (Nicolle); numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong best friend, Mary Ann McCormack; and friend, Norma Jean.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 2 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Monday from 10 am-2 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mary can be made to the Hillbilly Shrine Club of Shepherdsville.
