Born to the late George “Bud” Skilton and Luellen Heitger, Mary Lou is also preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 56 years, John D. Quinn; and her brother David Skilton. Here to carry on her memory are her children Lee Quinn (Wendy), Robert Quinn (Mary), Ellen Zehnder (Matt), and Thomas Quinn (Mary); grandchildren Chris (Yolonda), Shawn (Erin), Laura (Matt), Seth (Ashley), Shelena (Lark), Sierra, Chad (Stacy), Amy (Jason), Ashley (Bob), Emily (Jordan), Aaron (Candice), John (Leah), David, and Elizabeth; 25 marvelous great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mary Lou was a proud Sunnyside Master Gardener. She was a humble woman who loved to sing and worshipped with Saints at Charlestown Road Church of Christ in New Albany. Mary Lou had a servant’s heart and adored her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and left behind countless memories for her family to cherish.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville KY 40218. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a funeral service in Mary Lou’s honor beginning immediately at 12:00PM and burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
