She was born June 8, 1915 in Louisville, the daughter of Andrew and Louise Mathes Pfiester. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Ann, Theresa and Alberta.
Mary Lou had worked as a bookkeeper at Thornberry Toys for many years. She was also a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Leslie Jewell, Jr. (Brenda); grandchildren, Greg Jewell (Kevin); Lee Jewell, Doug Jewell, Jennifer Jewell, Tana Jewell, Steven Jewell (Mary), Amber Jewell-Bowling (Casey); eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A mass to celebrate Mary Lou’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne St. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Sacred Heart Home.
