Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to everyone she encountered. Mary was born in Paducah, Kentucky on September 1, 1923 to Ivo Wurth Sr. and Mary Philomena Wurth. She had a passion for cooking and volunteering (St. Ignatius Church: St. Vincent Depaul, Quilting club, picnics, Girl scouts and Southern High school PTSA). Mary retired from Enro Shirt Company after 33 years of Service. She was a woman of extraordinary faith and a proud founder| member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. In the last several years, she found it very important to attend every denomination of service offered at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Mt. Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Harris; parents, Ivo Sr. and Mary Philomena Wurth; Son, Michael Harris; daughter, Janet Emmons; great- grandchild P.J. Moore; 6 brothers, Edward, Paul, Ivo Jr., Sonny, James and Norbert; 2 sisters, Pat Williams and Barbara Felts; and 2 son-in-laws, Paul Emmons and Bruce Schaber.
Mary is survived by her children, Joseph “Bobby” Harris (Joyce), and Linda Harris Schaber; 8 grandchildren, Brian Harris (Samantha), Jeremy Harris, Christy Carter (Richard), Brent Schaber (Jessi), Jeff Schaber (Steve), Stephen Emmons, Melissa Wagner, Melanie Moore (Bob) and 15 great- grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 155 Stringer Lane, Mt. Washington Kentucky 40047. The visitation will be held on Friday from 3-8pm at Evergreen Funeral Home.
