Mary Geraldine Gordon

Geraldine was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 21, 1938, to parents Chester and Mable Spink. She was married to William Carl "Sonny" Gordon on January 25th, 1975.

Geraldine was a loving mother, sister, aunt, "Grandma" and "Mammy" to many. She loved watching sports, especially her Louisville Cardinals, cooking for others, and most of all, spending time with her family. She spread her love and kindness by baking cookies for everyone in her life. She became a "bonus grandmother" to everyone that she met.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Sonny Gordon; beloved daughter, Karen Laughead; and siblings, Doris Barnett, Maxine Fair, LaVerne Freeman, Steve Spink, Joe Spink & Gloria Scheurich.

She is survived by her siblings, Larry (Fran) Spink and David (Margaret) Spink; her children, Joe (Janet) Watson, Sheryl (Bobby) Shepherd, and Jamie (David) Orrender; Grandchildren, Amber, Adam, Carrie, Merissa, Gabriel, Jacob, Andrew, Sara, Madalyn, and Xavier; Great grandchildren, Braydon, Ameelyah, Phoenix, Orion, Michael, Darren, Sydney, Cheyenne, Ethan, Griffin, Juliana, Jett, Jace, Nash, Audra, Kylie, Oliver, Riley, and Zoe.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dignity Chapel at the Evergreen Funeral Home. Mary will be laid to rest in the Court of King Solomon Mausoleum of the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2023, from 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. also at the Evergreen Funeral Home.
