Gatewood, Mary E. “Edie” 85, passed away March 14, 2014. Mary and her late husband Jim had been members of Bethel Flock Baptist Church and in earlier years Sand Spring Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James W. Gatewood. Mary left behind to cherish her memory her children Gwen Saylor and Mike Gatewood (Jamie), grandchildren Gwendolyn Marie and Ariel Nicole Saylor and Lauren and Jordan Gatewood, sisters Mildred Bailey and Alice Hoon and many dear nieces and nephews. A service honoring the life of Mary will be held at 12pm Tuesday at Arch L. Heady & Son Southern Funeral Home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Stand Up For Cancer, The American Heart Association or Hosparus of Louisville.
