Fogarty, Mary Ann, 71, of Louisville, KY, passed away on December 19, 2017. Mary Ann was a woman who wore a coat of many colors. She worked for Bf Goodrich, she worked as a probation officer, was a foster parent in the 1980's, she worked for Colgate-Palmolive and retired from there, she worked for the census bureau, she obtained a juvenile justice certificate and worked for the state at The Rice Detention Center, and retired from there. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to see many places like Europe, Mexico, Greece, Spain, Africa, the Caribbean, and Canada. Mary Ann enjoyed her family more than anything and loved her two children, her brothers, her nieces and nephews and their children dearly. She loved having family gatherings and celebrating one another by cooking and having a party like atmosphere. She was an excellent cook and loved to make delicious food for everyone and could make soup from everything out of the refrigerator. Mary Ann had an infectious laughter that made her memorable and fun.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Claudia Taylor.
Left to cherish Mary Ann’s memory are her children; Michelle Fogarty Rhea and Richard Lee Fogarty, Her brother’s; Benny Taylor and Ed Taylor along with her grand-furbaby Ellie Mae.
Visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218.
