Mary F. Carey, 90, of Louisville passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born on November 6, 1921 in Nelson County to the late James and Lillie Mae Newton Riggs. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Carey; two children, Norma England and Mauritia Wynn; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, James E. Downs, Jr., Barbara (Donnie) Redmon, Thomas (Paula) Downs, Joseph (Gloria) Downs and Rita (Joseph) Keene; three sisters, Margarite Auberry, Rose Stillwell and Doris Waltz; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren
A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
