Marvin Lester Adcock

Marvin Lester Adcock, 82, of Louisville passed away on November 23, 2022. He was born on June 30, 1940 to the late Lester and Jennie Adcock. Marvin is preceded in death by his grandson Michael Marvin, and two brothers Clarence and Joel Adcock. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years Linda Adcock, children; Jennie Murphy (Scott), Tara Hess, grandchildren; Donnie Spencer (Heather), Ira McMichael, Andrew McMichael, Kaeila McMichael (Leo), Ashley Perryman (Logan), Cara Perryman, as well as six great-grandchildren.

Marvin worked hard for the Hershey Pasta Co. for more than 30 years. In his time away from work he enjoyed being outdoors either hunting or fishing and especially vacations to the beach with the family. He had a knack for fixing cars and his carpentry skills were evident all throughout the household. He also loved his games of chance whether it be bingo, slots, scratch offs, or the lottery. But most of all Marvin loved his family deeply and adored his babies.

A funeral service for Marvin will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 10am in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home 2428 Frankfort Ave. Louisville KY 40206. Visitation will be Friday December 2, 2022 from 3-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marvin’s name can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
